How does a church service work?
Our church services consist of three parts:
- A service leader (moderator) welcomes the congregation and leads them through the service, introducing dates and people.
- A worship team (usually consisting of singers, guitar, keyboard, bass etc.) plays 4-6 songs throughout the service – the lyrics are shown on the projector for singing along
- A preacher gives an impulse to the congregation. This is always based on the Bible – but at the same time it is also true to life and relevant to practice. This can look very different depending on the person. You can find examples in our YouTube videos at the bottom of the page.
How can I be there?
There are no prerequisites or “special expertise” to attend a service with us. You don’t have to know the songs, you don’t have to bring finances and if the congregation stands up for a prayer, this is said beforehand. Whether you sing, sit or stand during the songs is up to you.
What about children?
There is a parallel children’s service for children aged 3 to 12, where the children listen to Bible stories, do crafts and play together. The children stay in the service at the beginning and then go to the children’s room together.
From time to time, a youth program is also offered during the service.
There is another room for parents with babies and small children where they can retreat in between. Otherwise, it doesn’t bother you if you hear children laughing or crying ;-).
