Fellowship on Sunday

The first people arrive at 9.00 am and start to prepare everything so that coffee, tea and snacks are available from 10.00 am and we have half an hour to arrive comfortably. The church service starts at 10:30 and lasts about an hour. Afterwards, there will be time for further discussions and something to eat for those who want to stay. You are very welcome 🙂

You can find us at Nördlicher Stadtgraben 12 in 94469 Deggendorf. A map with parking options is further down on this page.

1.2. The little books: Timothy

They are hidden – sometimes only a few pages long and can usually be read in half an hour. But many a treasure lies hidden in them! We introduce you to four small books from the New Testament in the Bible and start with a very personal letter from Paul to his pupil Timothy.

8.2. The little books: Letters of Peter

They are hidden – but many a treasure lies hidden in them! We introduce you to four small books from the New Testament in the Bible. Did you know, for example, that the apostle Peter also wrote two letters? They are hidden at the very back of the Bible and today we are going to take a look inside!

15.2. The little books: Philippians

They are hidden – but many a treasure lies hidden in them! Paul particularly remembers the church in Philippi. There were many challenges and adventures to overcome there and now he is writing to you from afar. What is important to him?

4.1. Change that stays!

New year – new plans – back to the second Friday? But actually only something becomes visible here. As people who want to get to know Jesus, we long for lasting change. Our goal as a church is therefore not to “impart knowledge”, but to bring about change. Real, lasting change!

25.1. Less is more: fasting

How can it be that I gain by leaving things out? How can I become full by not eating or drinking? Fasting has remained a mystery to many people for thousands of years. Let’s go on a search for clues!

Community life on Instagram

Church in Deggendorf

30-40 people meet with us on Sundays for worship in the center of Deggendorf. From students from all countries to long-established residents, we are a fresh mix of all generations and shape our community life together. Everyone is welcome here!

Although we have only been in Deggendorf since 2020, we are part of the 800 other congregations in Germany to the Federation of Evangelical Free Churches (Baptists) K.d.ö.R. This type of congregation came into being together with the Protestant Church at the time of the Reformation – so they have been around for around 400 years. There are currently 50 million Christians among them. Together with the other forms of church, we see ourselves as part of the Deggendorf and worldwide community of Christians.

Approach/Rooms

You can find our rooms at “Nördlicher Stadtgraben 12”. We celebrate in the inner courtyard between the Nördlicher Stadtgraben and Metzgergasse every Sunday at 10:30 am.

Our goals

Perfect Deggendorf - the human being

The Good News
for humans …

Because we have experienced the forgiveness and love of God and believe in his word, we want to base our decisions on sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with people.

To this end, we get to know their culture, gather and act where these people live and become active in our community and our lives in order to make this love of God tangible in words and deeds.

Perfect Deggendorf - the human being

… releases its
potential …

Every person is created and loved by God. We want to lead him into a powerful relationship with the Father and release his potential, which was given to him through Jesus.

To this end, we want to respond to each individual, help them to discover their nature and talents and to grow in faith. We promote team structures, are tolerant of mistakes and like to break new ground.

Perfect Deggendorf - the human being

… and leads him
in responsibility.

We have all been given a body, a mind, a lifetime and a place to live. Together with the gifts, abilities and resources that are available to us, we are responsible before God to shape our coexistence according to his standards and in his strength.

To this end, we want to acquire knowledge and skills in dealing with ourselves and allow our character to be shaped by our relationship with God. We are committed to working together in families and society, opposing injustice, helping the sick and the weak and working towards a sustainable approach to our planet Earth.

Want to know more about who we are and what we’re up to? Perhaps you would also like to join us or work with us in certain areas. Or you have questions or comments …

Feel free to write to us! We look forward to hearing from you!
